Deformities Resulting from Dioxin Contamination
Photo Gallery

The deformities caused by dioxin are horrifying. This first image, of a Vietnamese girl with no arms, is distressing. It is, though, far from the worst. Please be aware that photos after this may be disturbing. Viewer discretion is advised.

Because of Agent Orange, the name for dioxin sprayed to defoliate the jungles of Vietnam during the war, Vietnam has become the central focus of dioxin deformities. The rest of the world, though, cannot be too far behind. Dioxin contamination is widely spread as a side product of many manufacturing processes. Plants throughout the United States, such as Dow Chemicals in Midlands, Michigan, have been releasing dioxins into the environment.
