FDA Threatens Dr. Mercola, Gives Order to Stop ThermographyThis is a call to action! The FDA is now attacking Mercola for offering thermography—and attacking us by stealing thermography so we can't access it, unless they give it to Big Pharma and Big Med.by Heidi Stevenson7 June 2011
Dr. Mercola
Dr. Joselph Mercola, arguably the most successful alternative medical practitioner in the world, is under attack by the FDA for his thermography offerings. The FDA has announced a stand against the use of thermography for breast screening, claiming that it is not a replacement for mammography. They have threatened Dr. Mercola with seizure, injunction, and money penalties. Further, they state that they may take action without further notice. Is Dr. Mercola scaring them—or is the FDA planning to take over the thermography business? Or both? Both possibilities are realistic. Dr. Mercola's popularity has certainly been a thorn in the side of the FDA's puppetmasters, Big Pharma and Big Medicine. They likely believe that getting rid of him will slow or stop the release of genuinely good information about what's genuinely beneficial, instead of the faked nonsense they produce. However, an equally sinister likelihood is that the way is being cleared to hand the thermography business over to the FDA's masters. The Business of ThermographyThe FDA has been particularly active in attacking people authorized by states to use and sell medicinal pot. At the same time, it's turning the market over to Big Pharma for production of adulterated versions of marijuana. (See FDA Persecutes Pot Patients So Proceeds Profit Big Pharma.) The same thing has happened to compounding pharmacies that sell natural estrogen, a much safer hormone therapy than Big Pharma's documentedly dangerous drugs. So, is the FDA planning to put Mercola's thermography out of business—and perhaps the man himself—so that it can take control of the industry? It appears that they are. Currently, there are several trials recently completed, about to be started, or in process on thermography. This is the same pattern that was followed with the upsurge in attacks on state-legalalized medical marijuana. The FDA completely ignored the will of the people and the states, launching a campaign that has produced huge trauma among patients and criminalizing people whom state governments have licensed to provide the needed medical service. Now, the FDA is handing that business over to Big Pharma, which is producing adulterated products. The Business of Alternative MedicineWhat of the threat that Mercola presents to mainstream medicine and the FDA's push to force modern medicine down the throats of every citizen? That, too, seems a likely reason for the FDA's action against him. Dr. Mercola has an enormous following and he heads an enormous business in alternative medicine, from selling natural products directly to consumers to selling natural medicine services to offering information about the truth of modern medicine's claims. He is both a huge thorn in the side of the FDA, Big Pharma, and Big Medicine. More importantly, though, he's their direct competitor, and his business has been growing. The fact is that there are a huge number of businesses selling thermography. Mercola is just one. Yet, the FDA has attacked only one marketer of thermograms and two sellers of the equipment, including of course, the one Mercola uses. There can be little question that he was targeted because of his success and authority as a competitor of modern medicine and revealer of its dark secrets. Tell the FDA What You Think! Why don't you contact the FDA? Let them know what you think of the attacks on Mercola and thermography. As might be expected, they don't have a way for the public to make its views known on their actions. That, though, doesn't mean you can't tell them. You can contact them in any of these ways:
Thanks to Adrienne Urban, Gaia Health reader and producer of Whole New Mom, we now have the direct phone number for FDA Commissioner Margaret A. Hamburg's office. It is 301-796-5000. The phone is answered by staff members, so you can tell her exactly what you think.
Obviously, the FDA isn't really interested in your comments. However, if they are overwhelmed with commentary, then it becomes very difficult to ignore. You can also send comments to local and national newpapers or other news media. The bottom line is that we must make our voices heard. Giving up simply isn't an option. If we do, then all access to non-allopathic health treatment, and even knowledge, will be taken from us. They're well on the way. Please, pick at least one of the methods above to make your voice heard! ***************************************************************************** *****************************************************************************
