Only Tiny Fraction of UK Doctors Plan to Take Flu Vaccine

Why is the swine flu vaccine being pushed so hard?

In the face of frantic hype surrounding swine flu and official pressure, the vast majority of UK doctors and nurses are not planning to take the controversial H1N1 vaccine. That, of course, leads to the question of Why? If this flu is so scary and the vaccinations so effective and safe, wouldn't those on the frontlines, the ones most likely to come into contact with infected people, be the first to queue up?

The NHS has a National Director of Flu Resilience—a most bizarre title, don't you think? The man who fills the office, Ian Dalton, has expressed great concern about the . Note, though, that in his recent article for Nursing Times⁽¹⁾, one of the two primary points he wanted to make is the "fee of £5.25 per dose of vaccination given". He then managed to use the strange term in his title, "Vaccination has always been an important element of our resilience strategy."

Resilience for whom? The vaccine makers, Big Pharma?

According to The Guardian⁽²⁾:

There are growing signs that large numbers of workers will shun the jabs because they see them as unnecessary and potentially unsafe.

A month ago on 10 September, Dalton wrote the local NHS organizations' chief executives, saying, "We all know that uptake of the seasonal flu vaccine among NHS staff is traditionally low. It is an NHS board responsibility that we do not find ourselves in this position with the swine flu vaccine."

Apparently, Dalton himself recognizes that the people who should be most aware of the vaccine's efficacy and safety are not comfortable with it. Therefore, he tries to motivate through greed—by focusing on the money to be made injecting people.

A hospital medical director stated:

The word on the street in NHS staff circles is that the vaccine is no good and you shouldn't bother with it. Nurses in particular worry that there may be side-effects, that corners have been cut in producing the vaccine and that the generally mild nature of the virus means they don't need to take it.

Since it's most often the nurses who see the side effects, isn't it only reasonable to listen to them?

At this time, the expectation of CEOs of hospitals is that no more than 10-20% of doctors and nurses will be vaccinated. As a result, there seems to be a near-panic among government-level officials.

The question is Why? Why are those who should be listening to the frontline people ignoring them and promulgating mass fear? Why are they putting massive amounts of public money into a vaccination program—both in terms of the costs of providing the vaccines and the expenses of implementing the program—in such a situation?

Can there be any answer other than profits? Who benefits from these jabs? In an attempt to get the doctors interested, a £5.25 bribe per jab is being offered to doctors. If most people were to succomb to the pressure and allow themselves to be injected, that is 630 million pounds they could take home—a very tidy sum of the taxpayers' money in a time when banks are going bust.

Who benefits from the money being spent on the H1N1 swine flu vaccine? The manufacturer of the UK-approved vaccine, Pandemrix, is GlaxoSmithKline. GSK is charging approximately £5 per dose. The UK has agreed to purchase 90 million doses from GSK (and may purchase as many as 132 million doses). At £5 per dose, 90 million doses comes to about £450 million of the taxpayers' money. Worldwide, the profits GSK expects to see for just Pandemrix are around £3 billion!⁽³⁾

The UK is spending massively on this campaign, not only for the vaccine itself and enticements to doctors, but also for officials to oversee the program and publicity to promote it, the costs of storing and transporting, and ultimately, the costs in human lives. Do they really believe that the mercury in these vaccinations won't cause autism? Do they really believe that the risks inherent in squalene won't cost the country immensely later on? Or that any of the other chemicals in the vaccine won't result in harms that, ultimately, will cost the NHS enormous sums?

Even all this is only the tip of the iceberg. If the public can be beguiled into accepting this invasion into their rights, where will it stop? What other unproven and dangerous products will be forced upon the masses?

What's the next campaign to promulgate fear and acceptance of whatever Big Pharma wants to sell? Vaccinations for that most dreaded of diseases, the common cold? A drive that everyone is entitled to perfect vision, so must undergo lasik surgery? Promotion for perfect complexions, so that everyone is required to take retinol A?

Please note the main swine flu vaccine being pushed in the United States is not injected. It's FluMist (celvapan) by Baxter. While it does carry serious risks, in particular ones associated with the manner of delivery by nose spray, it does not contain any adjuvants, including squalene and mercury.
